Symposium explores the challenges of AI for human society

FRA’s Director addressed ‘The Challenge of Artificial Intelligence for Human Society and the Idea of the Human Person’ conference on 21 October in Rome.

The conference gathered representatives from different disciplines to discuss the societal impacts of artificial intelligence (AI).

Speakers represented different areas including brain science, philosophy, theology, human rights, ethics, applied standard setting and business. The discussion highlighted the need for regulatory action in the area.

The German Embassy to the Holy See and the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Culture organised the event.
