In the framework of a Joint Project between the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights and the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (thereafter "the Agency"), the Agency intends to launch a negotiated procedure for the provision of a handbook on European data protection law.
The Agency is looking to contract an expert consultant/organization to provide it with the aforementioned handbook, which aim is to develop a practical handbook for data protection experts, judges, prosecutors, lawyers and other legal practitioners. The handbook (of around 100-120 pages to be written in English and finalised during the second quarter of 2013) should analyse key principles as developed by the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights, as well as eventual relevant national case law in the field of data protection. The handbook should follow the same style as a similar handbook on non-discrimination published in March 2011 available at:
If you are interested to be invited to join this negotiated procedure please send by email (email@example.com) your contact details by 7 September 2012.
