The Advisory Panel consists of nine members, six of whom are elected by participants of the FRP during the annual FRP meeting, and the other three appointed by the agency’s director. Members of the panel are appointed in their own independent capacity and under no circumstances represent any specific organisation.
Advisory Panel members serve a two-year term that can be renewed once. The composition of the Advisory Panel is gender balanced and reflects a diverse selection of civil society organisations and nationalities.
Third Advisory panel (20 April 2012 - )
The third Advisory Panel was elected in April 2012 by FRP participants present in the 5th Fundamental Rights Platform meeting. Currently the Advisory Panel is composed of the following FRP members:
- Ms Jamie Bolling - Executive director of the European Network on Independent Living (ENIL)
- Ms Dominika Bychawska-Siniarska - Project Coordinator at the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights
- Mr Roger Kiska - Senior Legal Counsel at Alliance Defence Fund
- Mr Allan Leas - Secretary General of the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE)
- Ms Evelyne Paradis - Executive Director of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans & Intersex Association - European Region (ILGA-Europe)
- Ms Catherine Lynch - National Coordinator of the Irish Network Against Racism (ENAR Ireland)
- Ms Elisabeta Kitanovic - Executive Secretary for Human Rights, Conference of European Churches (CEC)
- Mr Klaus Lörcher - Adviser, European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC)
- Ms Sara Giménez - lawyer and responsible for the Equal Treatment department of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano

FRP Advisory Panel first meeting (19-20 November 2012, Vienna)
The nine members of the new Advisory Panel of the Fundamental Rights Platform had their first meeting on 19-20 November in Vienna. The meeting covered issues related to the good functioning and the development of the platform including: further developing the FRP; methods of cooperation and communication between FRA and the FRP; the 6th FRP annual meeting in 2013; FRP consultations, particularly for the FRA Annual Report and FRA Annual Work Programme; and organisation of the activities of Advisory Panel.
