In the beginning of 2004 the EUMC commissioned the material for analytical country reports from its National Focal Points in the eight Central and Eastern European Member States (then accession countries) and the candidate countries Bulgaria and Romania. The report summarises, analyses and compares the various national strategies that are in place for minority schooling. A special focus of the report is on the educational situation of the Roma and the Russian minority in the Baltic countries. Finally, the report provides a brief comparison with minority education strategies existing in the EU Member States and offers recommendations.
The analytical country reports of the 10 RAXEN_CC NFP are the basis for a comparative report.
