Penitentiary Principles Act (Penitentiaire beginselenwet)Solitary confinement for a period of two weeks is a measure which the governor of a penitentiary prison can impose on a prisoner. The governor may extend this period each time by a maximum period of two weeks if he or she concludes that the necessity for solitary confinement still exists. In the penitentiary institutions the same cells are used as punishment cells and cells for solitary confinement.
