On the 4-5 November selected stakeholders of the project "The Fundamental Rights of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities and Persons with Mental Health Problems" will meet at the FRA premises in Vienna.
Persons with intellectual disabilities, persons with mental health problems, medical and legal professionals and representatives from National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) will come together to explore how the fundamental rights of these two groups of individuals can best be protected in everyday life.
The participants will exchange information about recent legal developments and share their experiences. The discussions will cover the following themes involuntary placement and involuntary treatment, the right to political participation (in particular the right to vote) and legal capacity.
