The FRA will participate on 10 June 2010 in a seminar/public hearing organised by the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) and the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) committees to prepare the parliament's report and vote on the proposal for a directive on traffickingin human beings.
The agency's main contribution to the debate around this proposal is the report on child trafficking in the EU published by the agency in 2009. The report made concrete suggestions of how the EU legislation in this area should be developed.
