The event will feature a debate between the directors of EU Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Agencies involved in the fight against trafficking in human beings and workshops on prevention, victim protection, and the investigation and prosecution of perpetrators. FRA will co-chair the protection workshop alongside the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), and the newly-created EU Asylum Support Office (EASO).
FRA protection workshop at 'Together Against Trafficking in Human Beings' conference
The 5th EU Anti-Trafficking Day will take place in Warsaw, Poland on 18 October 2011. This year the event, "Together Against Trafficking in Human Beings", will address trafficking in human beings, conservatively estimated to be around 2.5 million people globally.
