By putting on the diversity lens, journalism trainers will be equipped with diversity and non-discrimination skills to apply in their own training environment. Lively discussions are encouraged by an interactive set-up. The broader aim is to establish a network of journalism trainers and the creation of space and room to exchange and share emerging practices beyond the lifetime of this workshop.
The workshop is based on the FRA and European Broadcasting Union (EBU) Diversity Toolkit.
Objectives:
- Deconstruction of current diversity portrayals in media
- Developing diversity competences
- Stepping up the quality of diversity related media content
- Learning the application of the ‘Diversity Toolkit'
Target audience: Journalists, Camera professionals, Audio and visual technicians and editors.
