FRA's annual cooperation meeting with the NHRIs will take place on 18 April in Vienna. The aim of this year's meeting is to suggest ideas for improved or new forms of cooperation to further enhance our institutions' impact at EU and national level.

The objective is to find new forms of strategic cooperation by discussing thematic projects as case studies. The thematic areas will be: a common asylum system and border management; improving Roma inclusion; disability; and access to efficient and independent justice.

This year, for the first time, NHRIs will also be invited to the Fundamental Rights Platform meeting the following day. The aim will be to better protect and promote fundamental rights among NHRIs, Equality Bodies and civil society.
