On 3-4 May, the FRA will take part in the Academy of European Law (ERA) conference ‘Ne bis in idem as a general principle of EU law' in Paris. This conference aims to provide an in-depth analysis of this ‘double jeopardy' principle, whereby no legal action can be brought about for the same motive. In particular, it will look how this principle has evolved in the law from the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights. The FRA will chair the session on conflicts of jurisdiction and the challenges for practitioners.
