The 21st session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice will take place in Vienna on 23-27 April 2012. During the meeting the UN Crime Commission will have a thematic debate concerning "violence against migrants, migrant workers and their families". The UN Crime Commission will also discuss a number of reports - including a report on violence against women, and a report on legal aid - as well as proposals for resolutions submitted by the UN member states. FRA will contribute to the thematic debate with evidence from the FRA's EU-MIDIS survey on the experiences of immigrants and ethnic minorities in the 27 EU Member States. The FRA survey on gender-based violence against women will be presented in a side event on femicide, and the Agency's work on undocumented migrants will be part of a panel discussion on "Victims of Terrorism and Victimised Migrants: The Role of Research, Traumatic Effects and of Reparative Justice".
