FRA and the European Police College, CEPOL, are jointly carrying out a 4-day human rights training course entitled "Human Issue: Management of Diversity". The training course is hosted by the Austrian member of CEPOL, the security academy, SIAK and will take place in the SIAK premises in Vienna. The training is based on FRA's diversity module of the fundamental rights training manual. Around 20 senior police officers from across EU Member States are expected to attend. At the end of the course participants should be able to recognise, accept and define differences as well as own and others' multiple identities and transfer the in-sights into daily (police) life; recognise, analyse and explain problematic situation influenced by prejudices and stereotypes and their mechanisms; recognise, analyse and describe individual and institutional forms of discrimination; identify, analyse and cope with risks, challenges and advantages of managing diversity within and outside the police; and compare different and similar approaches and policies regarding dealing with diversity among Member States
