European Parliament workshop to discuss lesbian rights in Europe

FRA will give a presentation on its EU LGBT survey, focusing on the data relating to the experiences of hate crime and discrimination of lesbians at a workshop organised in the European Parliament on 26 November.

The workshop aims at shedding light on the situation of lesbians in Europe, with a particular emphasis on violence and harassment, and their legal situation.

It brings together members of the European Parliament, including Mikael Gustafsson MEP, Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, and Ulrike Lunacek, co-chair of the European Parliament’s LGBT Intergroup. Civil society organisations will also be present to discuss country-specific situations.
