EU data protection reform discussed at international data protection conference

FRA will be part of a panel debate that will look at what remains to be done to reform EU data protection rules.

The debate will take place in the framework of the 7th international Computers, Privacy & Data Protection conference where FRA will also be present as one of the the sponsors with a stand throughout the event. The event will also be an opportunity for FRA to share with conference delegates its new handbook on European data protection law that FRA developed together with the Council of Europe. The handbook is the first comprehensive guide to European law on data protection and takes into account case law from the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union. The handbook is aimed at non-specialist legal professionals, judges, national data protection authorities and any other person that may be confronted with legal questions in the area of data protection.
