The project currently involves 12 such bodies from EU member States. It aims to create a model online tool that will enable the most appropriate non-judicial human rights body to be easily identified. This could be a national human rights institution (NHRI), equality body (EB) and/or ombudsperson institution that covers a particular fundamental rights issue, including non-discrimination. A project meeting at FRA on 13 May will discuss the project’s next steps.
Extending FRA’s project on pilot fundamental rights information tool
FRA has invited additional national human rights bodies to join its pilot project, Complaints, Legal Assistance and Rights Information Tool for You (CLARITY).
