FRA speaks on hate crime in the EU at LIBE Committee

FRA will be speaking on the subject of hate crime in the EU at a meeting of the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs on 22 January.

The presentation will outline FRA’s work on the subject and discuss the scale of bias-motivated crimes against minority groups, as well as the effect such offences have on victims and the communities they come from. The presentation will also make suggestions for ways forward to better recognise and combat hate crime throughout the EU.
