Child-friendly justice results discussed with Estonian stakeholders

On 12 June, FRA will present the results from FRA’s recent Child-friendly justice – perspectives and experiences of professionals report at a seminar organised by the Institute for Baltic Studies on children’s access to justice.

The presentation will focus on the comparative data from 10 Member States as well as country-specific findings for Estonia. The seminar will be attended by experts and professionals who were interviewed on their experiences of working with children who are involved in judicial proceedings as well as representatives from the police and border guards, relevant ministries, the ombudsperson for children. Researchers and other practitioners in this field are also expected to attend. The Agency will also meet with representatives of the Ministries of Justice, Social and Internal Affairs to discuss the findings in the Estonian national context. It will also be an opportunity to plan further possible input also in relation to FRA’s other key areas of work and major deliverables in 2015.
