FRA to present surveillance report at Italian parliamentary security committee

FRA will present key findings from its ‘National intelligence authorities and surveillance in the EU: Fundamental rights safeguards and remedies’ report at an official hearing of the Italian parliamentary committee for the security of the Republic (Copasir), which will be held on 9 December at the Italian Senate in Rome.

The Committee, composed of five Deputies and five Senators, is in charge of the Parliamentary oversight of the Security Intelligence System’s activities in Italy. As part of this function it holds plenary hearings to get information and assessments to help it oversee the work on Italy’s national intelligence authority.
