FRA discusses key messages from Violence against Women survey with OSCE delegations

On 21 July, FRA will give a presentation to OSCE delegations concerning FRA’s EU-wide Violence against Women survey, focusing on its impact and key messages. The presentation has been organised by the OSCE secretariat and it paves the way for the conference ‘Combating violence against women in the OSCE region – bringing security home’, which is taking place in Vienna on 22 July.

Organised by the OSCE secretariat and the German Chairmanship of the OSCE, FRA will also participate in the conference, which will discuss progress made in the OSCE region in combating gender-based violence following the OSCE’s 2004 Action Plan for the Promotion of Gender Equality and subsequent Ministerial Council Decisions on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women. The conference also aims to address remaining gaps and discuss lessons learned, drawing upon the experience of governments as well as civil society organisations that work in the area of gender-based violence.
