Exploring dilemmas and best practices in democratic intelligence oversight

During the 2017 International Intelligence Oversight Forum in Brussels, the Agency will present the findings from its recently-published second surveillance report.

The event will take place from 20 to 21 November. It will bring together oversight bodies from many countries to compare notes, share best practices and develop new ways forward which promote both security and fundamental human rights like privacy and freedom of expression.

It is being organised by the UN’s Special Rapporteur for Privacy together with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, the Data Protection Authority of the Netherlands and the Luxembourg Data Protection Authority.
