Intelligence in the knowledge society conference

The Agency will present its second ‘Surveillance by intelligence services: fundamental rights safeguards and remedies in the EU’ report at the Intelligence in the knowledge society conference in Bucharest on 27 October.

It will present the findings during a debate on privacy and security in intelligence, chaired by Joseph Cannataci, the UN Special Rapporteur for Privacy. The event targets scholars and practitioners in the field of intelligence and security studies, as part of a long term effort to develop an academic perspective on intelligence.
