UN expert workshop on racism in the context of counter-terrorism

The UN Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance has invited the Agency to take part in an expert meeting on 22 and 23 June.

The meeting aims at discussing good practices and experiences and drawing on expertise on the issue of racism, xenophobia and discrimination in the current context of counter-terrorism measures and legislation. The meeting will feed into the Rapporteur’s 2017 thematic report to the General Assembly on the issue of racism, xenophobia and discrimination in the context of counter-terrorism. The meeting will gather about 20 experts from all over the world and will take place in Budapest.
