The Agency will release its report on ‘Challenges facing civil society organisations working on human rights in the EU’ on 18 January 2018.
At the first meeting of the Terrorism Working Party of the Council of the European Union under Bulgarian presidency, the Agency will present its second report on ‘Surveillance by intelligence services: fundamental rights safeguards and remedies in the EU’.
The Agency’s Director, Michael O’Flaherty, will contribute to the International Diversity Forum organised by the OECD Centre for Opportunity and Equality in cooperation with the Club XXIe Siècle.

The Agency has organised a human rights communicators leadership seminar that will bring together leading European human rights communicators to discuss how best to promote and communicate human rights messages.
The Agency will present its second report on surveillance by intelligence services: fundamental rights safeguards and remedies in the EU to the High Level Expert Group on Internet Governance in Brussels, on 23 January.

The FRA Director has been invited by the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU to take part in the informal Justice and Home Affairs Council in Sofia from 25 to 26 January.
On 25 January, the Agency will take part in the first informal meeting of a subgroup on improving the availability and collection of equality data.
The Agency has been invited to present its new report on the challenges facing civil society organisations in the EU at the Council of Europe’s conference of international NGOs.

The Agency will present its second EU Minorities and Discrimination Survey (EU-MIDIS II) at the International Migration Statistics Forum.
The Agency will present its work to the German Human Rights Forum (Forum Menschenrechte), the umbrella network of German human rights NGOs in Wuppertal on 18 January.
The Italian Parliamentary Committee for the Intelligence and Security Services and for State Secret Control will hold a conference in Rome on 17 January on the Agency’s second surveillance report that was published in November 2017.
