FRA will take part in 8th Seminar on Combating Racism, Xenophobia and Antisemitism in Jerusalem on 27-28 October.
On 28 October 2014, the Italian Presidency of the Council of the EU, in cooperation with the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) and the General Secretariat of the Council will host the high-level conference “Tackling sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination: next steps in EU and Member State policy making”. The event will take place in the Council of the EU premises (Justus Lipsius) in Brussels.

FRA will give a talk on ‘Transnational research of discrimination: current status, challenges and opportunities’ at a seminar on 30-31 October in Madrid.
The FRA Director will attend the OSCE Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in Economic Crisis as a keynote speaker.
The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound), in cooperation with FRA, will host an expert meeting to discuss future research on the rights and quality of life of people with disabilities in Dublin on 31 October.

FRA will speak about equal treatment and access to justice during the high-level conference “Shaping the future of Equality policies in the EU” in Rome from 6 – 7 November.

The Frontex Consultative Forum, which FRA has chaired since it was established in October 2012, will hold its next meeting on 21-23 October in Warsaw, where the new chairs for the upcoming term will be elected.

FRA will present its on-going project on the right to independent living of people with disabilities at a meeting of the Disability High Level Group in Brussels on 21 October.
On 21 October, a Delegation of the Italian Presidency chairing the Council’s Committee on operational cooperation on internal Security (COSI) will visit FRA.

FRA will speak at a two-day symposium on the fundamental rights of people with psychosocial disabilities on 16-17 October in Brussels, organised by the Regional Office for Europe of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
FRA will strengthen ties with the financial mechanisms of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) to promote and support fundamental rights.
In cooperation with the City of Toulouse’s “Equality” mission, FRA will run an interactive workshop on 15 October on how local officials can implement and protect fundamental rights.
