FRA will take part in meetings of the EU Agency Network in Brussels on 24-25 May, organised by the new Chair, the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
FRA will take part in a side event on procedural safeguards for children in criminal proceedings at the 25th Session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice on 24 May in Vienna.
The FRA Director will introduce a thematic debate on the rule of law during the EU’s General Affairs Council on 24 May in Brussels.

On 24-26 May, FRA will present its work on hate crime at the International Network for Hate Studies and the Hate and Hostility Research Group conference at the University of Limerick.
On 25 May in Brussels, FRA will present the key findings of its Fundamental Rights Report 2016 to the Council Working Party on Fundamental Rights, Citizens Rights and Free Movement of Persons (FREMP).
The FRA Director will address the international conference ‘Human Rights – A 21st Century Approach to the work of Ombudsmen’ on 26 May in Belfast.

FRA will present key findings from its surveillance report at the Spring Conference of European Data Protection Authorities in Budapest on 26 May.
The FRA Director, Michael O’Flaherty, will visit one of the agency’s sister agencies, Eurofound, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions on 27 May in Dublin.
On 30 May, FRA will publish and then present its report on fundamental rights challenges and achievements within the EU to the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) in Brussels.
FRA will be one of panellists in a debate during the European Commission’s conference on European citizenship in challenging times.

On 19–20 May, the European Commission is hosting a workshop in Brussels together with the European Judicial Network on ‘Counter-terrorism and de-radicalisation: How to answer training needs of justice practitioners’.
On 18 May, FRA will take part in a side meeting in Paris at the International Ministerial Meeting on Education Sector Responses to Violence Based on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity/Expression, jointly organised by the Council of Europe and UNESCO.

FRA will present its work on surveying hard-to-reach groups from a comparative cross-country perspective during the UNECE Work Session on Migration Statistics 2016 in Geneva from 18 to 20 May.
The FRA Director, Michael O’Flaherty, will speak at a hearing of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) about the Agency’s contribution to the promotion, protection and monitoring of the rights of people with disabilities in the EU.
