FRA addressed about 100 representatives of the Romanian police forces from 5 to 6 July during a capacity building workshop for Romanian police officers on how to implement the specific legislation on hate crime, Holocaust denial, antisemitism and other manifestations of xenophobia, discrimination or racism.
FRA took part in Eurochild’s annual conference “Children’s Rights Matter: Why Europe needs to invest in children?”. The event in Brussels on 7 July took stock of developments since the Commission Recommendation on Investing in Children.
The FRA Director, Michael O’Flaherty, visited a wide range of stakeholders in Malta from 30 June to 1 July to raise awareness of FRA’s work among key ministries and offer support during Malta’s Presidency of the EU Council.
On 5 July, Microsoft, the global mobile and cloud computing company, invited a small group of European stakeholders, including FRA, to provide input into their process of developing a vision for 2020 on human rights.
