During the 4th meeting of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on Roma Issues (CAHROM), the thematic group discussions focused on Roma and housing, education, freedom of movement related developments.
The FRA presented on 29 November its two recent reports on hate crime and on minorities as victims of crime. This presentation was given as part of the fundamental rights exhibition at the European Parliament and was followed by a panel debate organised in partnership with the European Parliament’s Anti-Racism and Diversity Intergroup (ARDI).
The FRA Director, Morten Kjaerum, today (29 November) presented the Agency's work to the Members of the European Parliament Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) in Brussels, with the aim of ensuring the internal/external coherence of EU human rights policies.
“Every day women in Europe continue to suffer from gender-based violence. This violates their basic fundamental rights,” said FRA Director, Morten Kjaerum, to mark International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November.
