A delegation of seven Senators from the Parliament of the Czech Republic visited the FRA in Vienna on 3 July, where they met the Agency’s Director, Morten Kjaerum, and staff members. The Senators are members of the Committee on EU Affairs, which is chaired by Luděk Sefzig.

The main purpose of the visit was to strengthen relations between the FRA and the Czech Parliament, which are an important component of the FRA’s stakeholder network at the level of EU Member States. The FRA Director, together with Agency staff, presented FRA’s general mandate and main areas of research. The meeting was also an opportunity for the FRA to learn more about the approach of the Czech Senate on the main human rights issues in the Czech Republic and in the European Union.
