On 13-14 November, FRA presented the results of its work at the EU's southern sea borders at the meeting of the European Patrol Network (EPN) in Toulon, France.
The EPN is a permanent regional border security network where all national authorities of EU Member States involved in maritime border surveillance are represented. In its presentation, FRA highlighted the important role that coast guards and other patrolling authorities play in promoting fundamental rights at sea. FRA also provided suggestions and examples of good practices on how to effectively carry out this role.
