The symposium brought together about 50 key experts and stakeholders who discussed how and to what extent the Data Protection reform package is likely to impact on the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. The discussions aimed to identify a core list of fundamental rights which are likely to be affected, either positively or negatively, by the proposed data protection rules.
The FRA Symposium report summarises the discussions that took place in the different working groups and the concluding remarks for each session.
