The overarching need to provide solutions to these challenges in a human rights-compliant manner emerged from the discussions. FRA presented findings from its reports on surveillance by intelligence and on violence against women, and from its European Union Minorities and Discrimination Survey (EU MIDIS) as a source of EU-wide data which can inform policy debates at national and international level. FRA particularly spoke of its strong cooperation with international organisations like the Council of Europe, OSCE and the World Bank as an important way of transferring the Agency’s expertise to non EU-countries.
Dutch OSCE parliamentary delegation discusses pressing European rights challenges with FRA
On 25 February, FRA hosted a Dutch OSCE parliamentary delegation to discuss fundamental rights risks in the light of enhanced security measures in many EU Member States in the context of the European refugee policy crisis.
