The meeting allowed FRA to introduce the work of the Agency, the scope of its activities and to start identifying key areas of cooperation. While in Malta, FRA also met with the Agency’s national contacts, such as the Management Board Member, and the National Liaison Officer and National Parliament Focal Point, as well as representatives from FRA’s multidisciplinary research network (FRANET) and Maltese National Human Rights Bodies.
FRA discusses areas of cooperation with the future Maltese EU Presidency
Malta will become President of the Council of the EU from 1 January to 30 June 2017. In preparation for the Presidency, FRA held a round-table discussion on 3 February in Valletta with representatives of the Maltese Government to explore how FRA could assist the forthcoming Presidency.
