FRA talks equality and policing during international human rights law event

On 28-29 April in Berlin, FRA presented its work in relation to equality and policing in the context of an international conference on the police and international human rights law.

FRA’s presentation served to underline the importance of data with respect to oversight of the law in practice, drawing on evidence from FRA’s surveys and their specific findings on ethnic profiling and crime victimisation amongst immigrant and minority communities. The interest shown at the conference in FRA’s work – focusing on the Agency’s provision of data to uphold fundamental rights compliance – will be followed-up with the conference’s participants, and will focus on providing information to the police as end-users of FRA’s data and products.
