Cooperating on raising local and regional rights awareness

The Agency met the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission to explore providing regular policy advice to EU Institutions and how best to assess and increase the capacities at the national, regional and local authorities in the implementation of fundamental rights.

Representatives, in charge of fundamental rights and social policies, discussed possible cooperation activities with FRA and policy advice in 2017. The focus this year could be on issues related to the integration of migrants, contributions to the Social Rights Pillar and Roma inclusion. The meetings took place in Brussels on 6 and on 8 February.
