Handbook seeks to identify children at risk at land borders

The Agency moderated a working group discussion on identification and registration of children during a Frontex workshop on 8 June in Warsaw.

The workshop aimed at identifying gaps in terms of information provided in the draft version of its handbook for identifying children at risk at land borders. It covered such areas as general considerations when dealing with children, identification and registration, referral, asylum and protection as well as border checks and mass flows. The working group identified ideas for further strengthening of the content of the handbook, which were then presented to the Frontex project management team.
