Lessons learned on how to communicate human rights with impact

On 5 and 6 March in Brussels, the Agency presented its reflections on how to improve communication and awareness raising work on human rights during the seminar Telling Europe’s migration stories: framing messages around solutions.

Key issues such as the need to be less institutional in communications were discussed. Examples included avoiding excessive length, jargon or technical language, acronyms or references to specific laws only known by a specialists. Other tips and know-how that can make an impact on how, why, where and by whom we communicate for impact were shared.
