Workshop discusses hate crime recording in Bratislava

On 15 May, the Agency, together with ODIHR, facilitated a workshop in Bratislava for law enforcement officers and officials responsible for hate crime registration.

The aim of the event was to raise awareness of the need to properly record hate crimes, to identify gaps in existing hate crime recording and data collection frameworks, and to discuss practical steps to improve these frameworks.

This was the fifth workshop of its kind. Workshops in other Member States are planned for 2018, as one of the outcomes of the FRA-coordinated subgroup on methodologies on recording and collecting data on hate crime.
