From plan to action when tackling racism

The Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union hosted a high-level conference on the implementation of National Action Plans against Racism.

They hosted it in cooperation with the European Commission.

FRA set the scene during the first panel discussion ‘From Plan to Action’. It drew on recent FRA survey evidence and findings from ongoing research on anti-racism practices in police.

The conference discussed how to move from development to implementation of national action plans against racism by providing a venue for sharing experiences and gathering inspiration.

Promising practices from Member States were presented as part of the newly published compendium of practices on antiracism in Member States compiled by the European Commission.

The event took place in Stockholm from 16 to 17 February.
