Second annual FRA Symposium on Human Rights Indicators (12-13 May, Vienna)

FRA Symposium 2011The FRA’s second annual Symposium entitled, "Using indicators to measure fundamental rights in the EU: challenges and solutions", brought together around 100 key experts and stakeholders, to discuss the development and use of indicators as a tool to measure progress in the implementation of fundamental rights in the EU.

International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia 2011: FRA statement (17 May, Vienna)

 

International Day against HomophobiaThe FRA statement highlighted some evolution towards better protection against homophobia and transphobia in some EU Member States. However, discrimination and unequal treatment across a range of issues remain a problem.

FRA joins Europe day celebrations (6 and 7 May, Vienna and Brussels)

FRA stand at Europe Day 2011 in ViennaOn 6 May, the FRA joined the European Commission's delegation in Austria in hosting an all-day event at Vienna's Museum Quarter where the Agency exhibited its work. On 7 May, the Agency also participated in the EU institutions' open day in Brussels.
