Fourth meeting of the Fundamental Rights Platform (14-15 April 2011, Vienna) |

On 14-15 April the fourth Fundamental Rights Platform (FRP) meeting brought together around 180 civil society representatives from all Member States of the EU and working across all themes included in the Agency's Multi-Annual Framework. The principle issues covered in the meeting included access to justice, participation and cooperation. A large proportion of the meeting was dedicated to interactive workshops and networking opportunities: ‘The Floor Is Yours’ and ‘Talking Tables’.

On the International Roma Day, the Agency met with Roma representatives in Budapest at the Platform for Roma Inclusion. On 5 April, the European Commission released a Communication aimed at improving the lives of millions of Roma living across the EU, which tasks the Agency with systematically collecting robust and comparable data to assist policymakers in developing more effective integration strategies.
