FRA issues Opinion on proposed EU data protection reform package (09 October)
Following a request by the European Parliament for an analysis of the fundamental rights issues associated with the proposed EU data protection reform package, FRA has presented its Opinion on the draft legislation. The Opinion builds on those already published by the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS), Article 29 Working Party, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), and the Committee of the Regions, and complements them from a broader fundamental rights perspective.
