Exchanging views on Roma rights

On 15 March, FRA met representatives from three organisations dealing with Roma rights across Europe.

These were the Roma Youth Club Stolipinovo from Bulgaria, the Roma Education Fund from Romania, and Grünbau Dortmund gGmbH from Germany.

It was a chance for them to present their ‘Trinational Congress’ project. It provides young people from the three countries the opportunity to meet, discover other cultures, and exchange perspectives on the complexity of their diverse communities.

FRA presented its work at the local level drawing on results of its local engagement for Roma inclusion project. It also spoke about its Fundamental Rights Platform and the support FRA provides to local-level actors to mobilise and work for tangible change.

The young Roma activists also learnt about FRA’s e-learning tools, and links with civil society, and the Roma traineeship opportunities with FRA.
