Martina Huber is a member of the Agency's Asylum, Migration and Borders team. Her areas of expertise with respect to the FRA’s work include: border management; irregular migration and returns issues. She was previously a researcher and policy advisor in the areas of rule of law, youth crime prevention and border security, and has worked with the European Commission, OSCE and various research institutes (including the Clingendael Institute, the German Institute for International and Security Affairs). She has undertaken field research in the Caucasus region, as well as Central Asia and South America.
She has a degree in Political and Economic Sciences, and has published in the fields of rule of law, mainstreaming conflict prevention and state-building.
