On 29 June in Brussels, FRA debriefed the EU Council’s Standing Committee on Internal Security (COSI) on the Agency’s launch of its severe labour exploitation report at the EU Council premises on 2 June.
Members of the German Parliament's (Bundestag) Committee for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth visited FRA on 19 November to hear about the Agency’s work related to the fundamental rights challenges affecting women.
On 10 November, FRA presented the preliminary results of its project on severe forms of labour exploitation (SELEX) to the Council Standing Committee on operational cooperation on internal security (COSI), following an invitation from the Italian Presidency.
Each year millions of children, women and men from all over the world are trafficked. On 30 July, the first ever United Nations World Day against Trafficking in Persons will take place to raise awareness of the plight of these countless millions of victims and to globally support campaigns to end human trafficking.
