General Provisions
The FRA mainly recruits staff as Temporary Agents. Contract Agents and Seconded National Experts are also recruited by the FRA
The FRA has currently no permanent officials. It recruits staff members through open selection procedures. Although the FRA follows its own rules and practices on recruitment, those of EU institutions are respected and successful applicants are offered contracts in accordance with the Staff Regulation of Officials of the European Communities and the Conditions of employment of other servants of the European Communities.

Vacancies are published in the vacancies notice of the European Communities and on the FRA's website. Notices are also sent to other EU Agencies, to the permanent representations of the Member States as well as to the members of the FRA Management Board.

The FRA only accepts applications against an open vacancy or call for expression of interest.
The FRA does not accept unsolicited applications whether received by post or by e-mail to hold on file.
The FRA will not return applications to candidates.
The personal data provided by the candidate shall be processed pursuant the European Regulation related to personal data protection and in particular Regulation EC n. 45/2001 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the community institutions and bodies, and on the free movement of such data.
