Robust data needed to effectively tackle homophobia and transphobia(16 May 2012)

Work together to end vicious cycle of Roma discrimination and social exclusion(06 April 2012)

Europe must continue to pull together to combat Roma discrimination, prejudice, poverty and social exclusion, says the FRA on the occasion of the International Roma Day on April 8.

European LGBT survey launched(02 April 2012)

Besides occasional news reports about the discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) people, there is very little comparable data collected across the EU about the everyday experiences of LGBT people with respect of discrimination. In response to this situation, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) has launched the first ever online EU-wide survey to establish an accurate picture of the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people (18 years or older) that will try to capture their experiences.

Stakeholders discuss irregular migrants’ access to healthcare (01 March 2012)

On 1 March, the FRA hosted a stakeholder meeting on access to healthcare for irregular migrants, focusing on FRA research findings. The 40 participants were mostly medical professionals from the countries covered by the FRA research (Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain and Sweden).

FRA signs Memorandum of Understanding with European University Institute (14 February 2012)

Remembering the Holocaust reminds us of the need to step up human rights compliance (27 January 2012)
