FRA equality data work presented to cities

On 1 December, FRA contributed to a technical meeting on surveys and equality data.

It presented its work on equality and non-discrimination surveys. The presentation looked at sampling methodologies, the importance and ways to include hard-to-reach populations, and how to ensure quality of survey measurement.

FRA also introduced the guidelines and practical tools developed for Member States by the EU Subgroup on equality data, which FRA contributed to.

The meeting brought together municipal staff from various departments and services involved in local surveys.

The meeting was part of renewed efforts by Barcelona and Bologna to review and propose improvements to their survey methodologies in view to implement new anti-racism governments measures. Both cities organised the event. They are also members of the European Coalition of Cities against Racism (ECCAR).
