FRA contributes to the human rights dimension in key EU Agenda 2030reports and debates

On 25 May, Eurostat issued its ‘Sustainable development in the EU’ monitoring report on progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the EU.

The report refers to FRA’s Roma Survey and Violence against women reports.

Also, this week, the first Voluntary Review of the EU on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was launched. It includes several references to FRA, in particular its Focus Paper on implementing the Sustainable Development Goals in the EU and its work on the Fundamental Rights Charter.

The report highlights that the EU collects data through FRA, Eurostat, European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, and the European Institute for Gender Equality.

FRA also contributed to discussions highlighting the importance of disaggregated data in Sustainable Development Policy Making. It shared findings and evidence from several FRA studies during the 21st Conference of the European Sustainable Development Network (ESDN) on Sustainable Development & SDG Implementation in Policymaking. The event took place in Vienna from 22 to 23 May.
