On 27 January 2012, the FRA will speak during a panel debate at the Computers, Privacy and Data Protection 2012 conference. The panel debate will centre on 'Regulating profiling for law enforcement: the EU PNR case'. During the debate, the FRA will discuss its 2011 opinion on the proposed Directive on the use of Passenger Name Record (PNR) data, which was requested by the European Parliament. Joining FRA on the panel will be representatives from the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Council of Europe and Utrecht University. Around 400 participants are expected to attend this major international annual conference.
